Spanish

Our Spanish program invites children to enjoy learning the basics of a foreign language. This program encompasses all CCES grades from kindergarten through fifth grade; each class consistently meets once a week. The program incorporates videos, music, and hands-on activities to promote the use of the language. Along with learning the fundamentals, students also memorize Bible verses. In addition, students are introduced to the Hispanic culture and a variety of Hispanic countries. One of the main  traditional cultural events that our students participated in was “La Posada.” The Posada reenacts Mary and Joseph looking for a place in Bethlehem. The students applied their Spanish by singing and later enjoying piñatas, churros, and hot chocolate with the help of our high school Spanish students and the support of parents. We are proud of our students' progress and willingness to use the language!
